HELP US GIVE

Working toward the Betterment of the Communities in which We do Business

We partnered with America’s Grow-a-Row (AGAR) for the month of January. Through Landmark’s Corporate Giving Program, “Help Us Give” (H.U.G.), we donated 10% of sales from our top three tables at the Ryland to this not-for-profit organization. AGAR grows and gleans fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables, which they donate to hunger relief agencies throughout the state and distribute at free farm markets in impoverished New Jersey cities. Additionally, they educate people of all ages about the hunger crisis, nutrition, healthy eating, and agriculture. In 2015, thanks to the help of 5,500 volunteers, AGAR donated 1.2 million pounds of fruits and vegetables to those in need. Since its inception in 2002, AGAR has donated more than 4.9 million pounds of food, which translates to 19.6 million servings.

Landmark Hospitality owners Frank and Jeanne Cretella believe strongly in bettering the communities in which they do business. H.U.G.’s fundraising efforts include NJ Sail, a program dedicated to teaching valuable skills to youths, as well as contributing monthly to local charities, and an event hosted for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Landmark also holds annual Snowflake Awards and Easter egg hunts, both of which host hundreds of Jersey City children.
