Locally sourced, responsibly handled. The mantra captures the identity of the Ryland Inn’s American cuisine.
Cooking from the heart begins outside the kitchen, and the Garden State’s farms play a key role in inspiring Executive Chef Chris Albrecht’s cuisine. We firmly believe that ingredients taken directly from farm to table make the best meals.

Garden On Property
The Ryland Inn proudly maintains a large herb garden on their property and has the pleasure of supporting local family farms, which have become institutions in Hunterdon and Somerset County. Championing the farmer is important to our restaurant. These relationships help create the dishes on Ryland’s menu and shape our guests’ dining experiences.

Supporting Local Family Farms
The Ryland Inn’s vision of agriculture also includes a hydroponic farm. Hydroponic farming is a modern approach that can successfully expand the harvest into the winter months. Of all the great amenities the Ryland Inn offers, local herbs and lettuces in the winter may top the list.
